Beauty-lovers and earth-lovers, alike,  can find something in common at The Body Shop.  The quality beauty products and the eco-conscious philosophy offer something for everyone.  The Body Shop in Perimeter Mall in Atlanta, Georgia blurred the line between the glamor and green-living at a special event on June 9, 2011.

The Body Shop featured celebrity makeup artist and author of Passport to Beauty, Shalini Vadhera, to kick off the launch of the Honey Bronze collection.  Ms. Vadhera provided complimentary consultations and makeovers using products from the new collection.  Guests were then treated to a professional photograph of themselves to forever capture the glamorous moment.

Ms Vadhera explained that the Honey Bronze collection is “designed to enhance the natural, healthy glow of the skin”.   The products from the collection are formulated with real honey.  Honey has long been revered for its skin nourishing properties.  It helps skin retain water making it an excellent moisturizer.  It is also perfect for the summer months because it helps fight against damage caused by the sun’s UV rays.

The Honey Bronze collection maintains The Body Shop’s commitment to  offering products that are responsibly sourced. The honey used in the product line is supplied by Bezamar in  Ethiopia.  According to The Body Shop website, the beekeepers harvest the honey traditionally, using hives handcrafted from locally grown bamboo.   This results in strong, healthy bees while deterring logging.

The collection includes Honey Bronzing Powder, Honey Bronze  Brilliance Powder, Honey Bronze Shimmering Dry Oil, Honey Bronze Bronzing Gel  for Face, and Honey Bronze Lip Nectar.  Stop by your local The Body Shop to see the  collection and to learn more about The Body Shop’s Community Fair Trade.
